Fortunately this yea I have a very accelerated class, they love reading and could read all day, we are working on the structured academic conversations. I have been pushing myself in the writing field this year and love it. At our fall conferences many kids told me writing was there favorite part of the day so... that’s where I am going to push. I was looking into Ralph Fletcher's Craft Lesson Books for both his original and nonfiction book. What do you recommend? Thanks! :) 4th Grade Flipped Classroomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13478398475944229462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3268361743015617057.post-11636935926573760982014-03-02T14:28:48.288-06:002014-03-02T14:28:48.288-06:00Yep, you're a writer. I have never thought of myself as a writer. But I do love talking about teaching....so writing a blog about it seemed pretty easy. But a writer!!??!! I am not so sure.<br />emEm Hutchisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02714399463592010921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3268361743015617057.post-80971534690699520642014-03-01T22:11:31.467-06:002014-03-01T22:11:31.467-06:00Welcome to Slice of Life! Mine would include the people you have, but also Don Graves, Tom Newkirk, Brian Cambourne, and Lev Vygotsky (how many am I allowed to have???)Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13294455230627182656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3268361743015617057.post-40511463830043565782014-03-01T19:44:13.666-06:002014-03-01T19:44:13.666-06:00I think that the biggest influences on my teaching...I think that the biggest influences on my teaching were not big names in education, but children's authors and people I know personally. I've learned a lot from texts about teaching, but these people have been more influential in my teaching than anyone else: Dr. Seuss, Shel Silverstein, Ma (my grandma), and Bonnie (my first year mentor). In the end, great books and meaningful conversations with people you respect make the most difference.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3268361743015617057.post-79561042956083457622014-03-01T15:25:57.963-06:002014-03-01T15:25:57.963-06:00Welcome to Slice of Life!
