Today, I'm going to link up with Doodle Bugs for Five for Friday. This week has been pretty sweet - had lots of time to relax, visit with friends, and hang out with the bf. So here is the best of from this past week!
One of the best things about being back at home is just the simple pleasure of the sun waking me up every day through the window by my bed. I love to wake up, read my blogs and Twitter, grab the book on my nightstand and just relax. It's #thebest :-)
Found a few new videos I love this week! I already showed you the Try by Colbie Calliet, but then from Miss Lifesaver, yesterday, I found Meghan Trainor's video: All About that Bass. It's so good - another one about body image, but drops a few inappropriate words, so prob couldn't show this one to middle school kids. But anyways I just love this video - it's so cute and super funny, too! Thanks to Erin for sharing! :-)
I made a new facebook page! I had two - one is my personal one of course, and the other was another one for all my former students and work colleagues. But, I wanted to make a page for BigTime Literacy, so I'm hoping my former students are going to migrate over to the new page before I delete the others. If you want to keep up with me on facebook, click here and follow along!
So cute, yesterday the boyfriend said, "I have something for you." He walked out of the room and I followed and he turned around handed me this key and said, with a smile, "The key to my heart." That comment is so not him, but he knows it would make me happy, and it did! I have had two of the three keys I needed to get into his place for a few weeks now, and was just short one, so I was happy he got it for me.

Last but not least, I went to High Tea at the Drake Hotel with my cousin last weekend:
I was reading online and both Princess Diana and the Queen have had tea at the Drake! It was super fun - we wore dresses and had all these little appetizers and desserts:
There were cream puffs, macaroons, scones, a fruit tart (that was awesome!) some chocolate-raspberry deliciousness, and then little sandwiches in the middle. Cucumber sandwiches, not my fave! But, it was a super fun thing to do with my cousin...feeling all fancy, you know!
So that's what I've got for you this week. Hope you had a fab week, and please link up with us through the end of July as we finish off the BigTime Blogging Challenge!
Looks like you had a great week! ;) I'm going to check out that editing App, too! Fun. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat week. I wonder what "high tea" means... And this week I have especially loved my bed in the mornings. So cozy, since it has been cool outside. Hope you have a great weekend!

I'm so happy you love that song so much! I literally couldn't fall asleep last night because I kept singing it in my head. So annoying!
ReplyDeleteAnd I've been thinking about how much I want to have tea at the Drake ever since I saw your pictures. I did it in NYC once as a little girl and think I'm long overdue for another high tea! As soon as I land a job, I'm gonna make this happen!
Maybe our next blogger meet up...or maybe on a smaller scale? :-) I'd be in!
DeleteHigh tea at the Drake has been on my to-do list for at least 5 years now! How awesome that you got to do it :)

I've never been to a high tea but that sounds right up my alley. Love your blog design by the way!
