Hey all y'all! It's the BigTime Blogging Challenge. I'm writing every day in July to celebrate my blog's three year anniversary! Join me - write your post, link it up with mine, leave some love for blogging friends in the form of comments!
I seriously love writing. Sometimes I go for awhile without doing it, and sometimes I'm writing on my other blog, but when I get back at it, I love it.
It all started actually because of my funny friend, Katie over at Journey to the Healthiest Version of Me. You have to read this post, one of her most recent funniest ones. Anyways, I wanted to write like Katie, she's so funny and writes - well I guess it's a lifestyle blog - and I love it. Katie, you are the person who inspired me to write first and foremost! Thank you, friend!

So, with that, I started the blog Good Good Life. I began writing when I was doing a Whole 30 - a 30 day Paleo eating challenge, that I completed, no doubt! That was great, I had lots of ideas for writing that month. But, when that ended, writing got harder. I didn't really know where to go with my ideas, and I wasn't writing consistently enough to have the ideas flowing. So I drifted.
Fast forward awhile and then I got a position as a Literacy Coach. I thought I should start a literacy blog so I could archive information I might need going forward. Which brought me here, on July 4th, three years ago.
Since then, I never envisioned I'd be here - blogging and sharing with amazing people, lots of whom I've never met. I have blogging friends in Kansas and Tennessee. I've collaborated with Reading Specialists and Literacy Coaches all around this country. I gave a blogging PD in my district, make some new friends there, including Colleen who is smart and supportive and generally awesome! And, after I did the PD in my district, I was asked to speak to the whole district at our opening institute. NEVER dreamed any of that would happen.
I also attended Illinois Writing Project's Summer Leadership Institute last summer with Jennie and even more writing experiences were opened up to me. I met Erika, which led me to a consulting opportunity in her district (so fun!). We've had Writing Marathons (with teachers and kids) and my writing friends love to get together and write, and give writing gifts, and talk about books about writing - the list goes on and on. And now, Amanda is headed off to IWP this month; makes my heart happy! :-)
I'm just so thankful for all that writing has brought into my life. And now, I know new friends, so excited!
What's your story?
Or share anything else with us, just happy you're here!
You were the one to get me started! Thank you!
