maintaining teacher balance

Hey all y'all! It's the BigTime Blogging Challenge. I'm writing every day in July to celebrate my blog's three year anniversary! Join me - write your post, link it up with mine, leave some love for blogging friends in the form of comments!

Hola friends, can you believe it's day 22 of the challenge? I'm so proud of myself, even during the Slice of Life challenge, I usually miss a day so I'm happy to be back every day this month!

Today's topic is teacher balance. It's so important to stay balanced so we don't burn out, so please share with me how you do it!

My first six years of teaching were in Phoenix and I loved it and learned so much. Except I said yes to every request and did everything and in those six years, I didn't do much besides teach. I dated a guy for one of those six years, but otherwise was single, and as I look back, I think a big part of that was because I was so wrapped up in honing a new set of skills in my new teaching life.

Saying Yes
So when I moved to Chicago, I told myself, "Michelle, you don't have to say yes to everything, and you shouldn't feel bad about it. You need to take care of yourself, too!" After all, a yes to more work is a no to something else in your life that might bring you joy, right?

One of my new rules is that I will not take on extra projects without sleeping on it first. It's not that I don't care about the school and kids I teach, but I don't want to burn out and so I have to make certain that what I say yes to will work with my schedule.

I was so happy when one of our principals sent out this blog at the beginning of summer. And, upon seeing another principal just last week, and telling her, No, I'm not teaching and summer PDs, she said, "Good for you."

Because really - I love teaching and learning, but I understand how important it is to recharge, too!

Food and Fitness
It's so important to also take care of our bodies, both with the way we eat and with exercise. So, I almost always prep a week's worth of salads every Sunday evening and try to schedule time for exercise, too. I do so much better when I plan things out, and actually put them on a calendar, so I think with exercise this year, I'm going to try and be better about scheduling my week on Sunday, so it's just something that I know I have to do. And like I wrote in another post this month, motivation follows action, so I need to keep that front and center when I just don't feel like going for a run or to yoga!

Thoughtful with my Thoughts
It's really easy to let our anxieties spin out of control, and a lot of time we create all that drama on our own, in our heads before the thing we're really worried about even happens. So, I work really hard to tell myself things like, "Michelle, it's not time for that meeting / conversation / PD Session, so don't ruin your moments now because you're worried about something in the future." I'm like everyone else who stresses out, except I have gotten pretty good at talking myself out of those destructive thinking patterns. Usually, the biggest conflict is in my mind, and things go better than I expect!

Approach Conflict Directly
This is hard, so so hard. But after reading Brené Brown, I understand that the most compassionate people are also the most boundaried. Boundaries are good! So when something happens that upsets me or hurts my feelings, I make it a point to go approach it within a reasonable amount of time. Usually problems and misunderstandings are solved, and in the very least, the person who said or did something to upset me is at least then aware of my boundaries. I truly believe that what you ignore, you allow, and so I think it's so important be be honest and up front with people. The upside of this? You never have to wonder if I'm upset with you, because if I am, I will tell you!

Appreciate the Small Things
Kids are awesome! Teaching is a ton of work and it's a grind, but it's so worth it when kids email you saying, "Ms. Brezek, I revised my memoir a little, can you tell me what you think?" and "Aren't you going to Middle School with us?" and hugs bright smiles from firsties. With so much technology, I think it causes us to want to capture moments and save them, but better, I think, to live them and then put them in a notebook or on a blog or in your Sunshine File. Any way you can live in the moments of your teaching life, and appreciate them for all that they're worth, will definitely lead to happy, wholehearted teachers!

How do you stay balanced with such a demanding career?
Please share your tips!

motivation follows action

Hey all y'all! It's the BigTime Blogging Challenge. I'm writing every day in July to celebrate my blog's three year anniversary! Join me - write your post, link it up with mine, leave some love for blogging friends in the form of comments!

It's the day for Hometown Attractions! I have been wanting to write this post for ages, but I'm still not ready yet, I need to go visit one more place and get one more pic before I do. So please share about yours if you want, I'm going to share a little bit about one of the books I've been reading!

So this is the book club book for the 30th and it's really good. Do you follow my Instagram? I posted this pic a few days ago saying I'd read it tomorrow:

Haha, well, I finally read it and it was so good. It was talking about how procrastination is one of three main problems for writers. I do not have this problem for writing as much as I do in other areas, mainly, exercising. Case in point is that on any given day I'd rather write than go for a run or even go to my favorite yoga or dance class. So as I read it, I was thinking exercise every time it talked about procrastinating writing.

Here are some of my favorite lines with some commentary:

It turns out procrastination is not typically a function of laziness, apathy or a lack of work ethic, as it is often assumed to be. It's a neurotic self-defense behavior, that develops to protect a person's sense of worth.
This one got me thinking. I always thought I wasn't going running or to yoga because binging on Shameless on Netflix sounded like so much more fun. Is this saying that maybe I don't think I deserve to feel healthier/look better? Something to check with myself here for sure.
We want to write. We do. It's just scary and hard work. And usually disappointing. Our writing is rarely as good as we want it to be. My writing life spans eighteen years, and in that time there have only been a handful of things I've written that I'm happy with. The rest make me cringe. But it's the possibility that we may blow our own minds that propels us. We're junkies hanging out for hit.
This one I was thinking about writing. Later on in the book she goes on to say that we just keep writing, and it's almost always crap, and that every once in a while that we do something amazing, mind-blowing even. I actually felt like that a few days ago when I wrote the piece about being on both sides of Black Lives Matter and Blue Lives Matter. I was so scared to post that. So stressed, like palms sweating. But then it got shared by six friends and I realized that I had crafted something that was pretty decent. That's why we write. Because there's a chance it might happen. Usually it doesn't, but every now and then, yes.
So remember: do the writing before having the shower, making the coffee or having a wee. Do the writing first. Anything you are tempted to procrastinate with, write down on a pice of paper and use it as a reward. Yes, you can dust the vase cabinet. After you have written for an hour. Chances are that the vase cabinet dusting won't seem as urgent then. And you may even keep writing. Because you will find that motivation follows action. And as uninspired, self-loathing, not-in-the-mood and knackered as you feel when you sit down to write, if you force yourself to write, you mind find you do more than you expect.
I'm reading:  Do the exercising first. Then you can write, then you can do the dishes, then you can surf the interwebs, just do the yoga or dancing or running - first thing, wake up and just get it out of the way.

Super good take on procrastination and also the book is really good in general, highly recommend. I'll definitely be back talking about it on the 30th, but maybe before then, too!

Happy Sunday, friends!

❤ The Coaches Launch Presentation
My girl Felicia (she's a new blogger in my district, give her a follow!) but she shared how every year she begins with a Coaching Launch Presentation, so I did one for the first time this year and it has been really great. What I love about it is that it makes it clear to all staff members about what your role as a Literacy Coach is and in what ways I'm available to collaborate with teachers.

❤ our staff shout-out board
This year Jennie sent me a pin of a Staff Shout-Out board, so I put one up in the lounge:

As Union Rep for our school, I make a call for positives once a month, but I wanted a way to do more with that, so I'm glad Jennie sent me that pin! All the little papers in green are from our Union Meeting and then the others in blue and green and white are written by our staff to our staff at other points within the month. The forms are in a little plastic box on the table in our lounge with pens and tape, so it's all there for teachers when they are in the lounge. Additionally, mid-month, I am putting the forms in teachers' mailboxes in case they forget. I did that for the first time this week and after there were a bunch of new ones up! This makes me so so happy and I hope it makes the other staff members happy too. I got one this week that made me especially happy:

Thank you, Anonymous...you made my day! :-)

❤ seeing all the kiddos back in class!
It's been so good to be back at work with the kids! Below you can see a few of the kids from a very special fifth grade group that I started working with when they were in third grade. That class is such a special one in so many ways!

Also love that backpack!

❤ my team
I work with two amazing girls this year. We share a classroom and collaborate so well together! Classroom reveal is almost ready... stay tuned!

❤ friends who reach out and check on me, and send me presents :-)
Thanks Holls for sending me relaxation in a cute little bag! Sometimes when things are rough, it's important to remember to take care of yourself, and I am so appreciative of having friends like you!

❤ reaching goals
August 12th, I set a goal to run 35 miles by September 12th. Was so disciplined the last month and it felt so good to hit that goal. This next month I'm hoping to hit 40+!

What are you loving?

Write up a list and share it with me!

Dear Emerson Staff,
I'm so excited to start another new year with you! I'm looking forward to seeing the kids and the work we will do together this year. I'm also hopeful that we will plan lots of fun stuff to do together so when it gets super overwhelming, we can stay positive.
High fives to you all :-)
Michelle

Dear former students,
Thank you for continuing to keep in touch with me. It really is one of the most rewarding parts about our job, that we create spaces for amazing relationships with you. I'm so proud of all your accomplishments, and if you ever need anything, I'm just an email away!
Love, Teach

Dear Universe,
Okay, I get it. Things can always be worse. Case in point: the cracked screen on my iPhone after a pretty rough week. I will remember to practice gratitude for the good things in my life though, even when there's bad stuff, too.
Try and watch out for me anyways?
Michelle

Dear best friends,
Thank you for being in my life. I swear, I couldn't go through it without you.
Love, Shel

Dear Summer Vacation,
It's been real. It always goes too fast, doesn't it?
Until we meet again,
Michelle

Dear self,
Good job on your running...You've logged 18 runs since the beginning of June! You are really improving, even if just a little at a time. Keep up the great work!
Love, Self

Dear Cousin,
Thanks for texting me yesterday to check on me and I'm so glad I got to hear all about college! I love that we keep in touch pretty regularly!
xo,
Cousin

Dear Alex and Ani,

I love your bracelets! My new fave is the one with the Buddha charm, which is a constant reminder to keep my thoughts in check. Must make a wish list!
Sincerely,
Online shopping fanatic

I'm a runner

Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for hosting the Slice of Life each Tuesday!

For some people, saying, "I am a writer." is no easy feat. For me, that's a piece of cake. I am a writer not because I'm particularly creative or do some amazing crafting with words, but because I come to my blog day in and day out and write. I publish things that I love and other things that I think are just okay, and some that are crap, but I still hit the publish button and put it out there. Because this:

But running, that's another story. If I'm being totally honest, it's exercising in general. I'm not one of those people who loves it and wants to do it all the time. I'm like that with writing. But running, I would rather:

  • Do a marathon - on Netflix
  • Clean my kitchen
  • Grade some papers
  • Make a rubric
  • Floss my teeth
  • Go grocery shopping
  • Anything else
The thing is, once I tell myself what my best friend advised (you don't have to want to run, you just have to actually do it) and get my feet to the pavement, I kinda don't mind. And as I'm running, I listen to some good tunes and watch people around the neighborhood and then when I get home, I love to sit on my stoop and cool down, post some stuff on Runkeeper (including the update I drafted as I ran). And then, my friends like my running status, and that is really motivating.

I also find that when I'm running every other day consistently, I like it more. I bet if I just kept going and going and going, maybe I could be like those people who love running?

(Not holding my breath!)

But, I'm a runner. A slow runner, an inconsistent runner, a nonpassionate runner, but I do it enough to call myself a runner.

Do you write as often as I run? Just say it with me: I'm a writer.

maintaing teacher balance

Get the details for this challenge here!

Today we're getting together to share ideas for maintaining balance during the school year. I know right now we're all loving life - being on break and all, but pretty soon, we'll be at 150mph and we're all going to be exhausted. So, what do you do to stay sane? Here's how I take care of myself during the busy busy times.

Sleep
I don't ever give up sleep. Hektor makes so much fun of me for going to bed at 9pm, but I do, almost religiously. I get up around 5:30 every day, so 10pm is my latest for work. I've always loved sleeping, and I don't give it up no matter how busy I am!

Food Prep
I feel best when I'm eating well, so the weeks that I make time to prep a week's worth of lunches, I do so much better. I could eat various versions of Chicken Salads for weeks - months even, and I did during the spring semester. It just takes so much work and time - the grocery shopping and then prepping everything. But, it makes my life so much easier all week long!

Exercise
First yoga: I love yoga, but I haven't gone for the longest time until just yesterday. I tried out a new studio - Zen Yoga Garage - and it was amazeballs. I love hot yoga, and especially when meditative in practice. Some of the classes are like crazy intense with weights and stuff, but I'd rather get on my mat, let the rest of the world go, and not think for 60 minutes. I love the classes (like Saturday's) when there was incense going and we focused on our breathing and our intent (mine: let go of judgment) and just were present with no technology, no dramas, nothing. I find this to be extremely helpful for the rest of my world!

Running: I've been doing such a great job with my Couch to 5K app - I am making progress if I run every day consistently. I like the feeling I have after it's over, but I actually am not a huge fan of running (actually, of exercise in general, if I'm being honest.) But, as my bff says, "You don't have to want to do it, you just have to do it." So for now at least, I'm going. I just need to keep it up when school starts. Any tips for this? Exercise is always the first thing I let go!

I say yes selectively
There's lots to do when you're a teacher. You all know, lots. Actually, too much. So all the things I say yes to, I think long and hard about whether or not I'll do it. Life is too short to be doing things that make you stressed or angry. My rule of thumb is always asking for a night to think about things before I commit. I tell myself it's okay to take 12-24 hours to get back to people. Stress comes when you're trying to do things too fast. When I step away, I almost always get clarity, and I can make the best decisions for me. Bottom line: I'm choosy about what I say yes to. You should be too!

Social Calendar
I love having things to look forward to! I always like to plan things, whether that's a date night, trying out a new restaurant, a long weekend, or a vacation, keeping my calendar full is super important to me. And, I mean events for me personally, but also happy hours with teachers from school. It helps so much to get out of the building and have some chips and salsa (and margaritas) and just catch up with one another. This is especially helpful during the worst time of year - for me, it's the cold, dreary days of January - March. Whether it's for personal or work-related events, I love to keep things on the calendar to get me through the busy weeks we experience!

What about you? Please share how you keep your teacher balance! Looking forward to your ideas!

currently 2015

Holy schnikes! It's (almost) 2015 and a cold, cold last day of December here in Chi-Town! I am kinda missing the snow, but definitely not a fan of this cold weather we have going on! Anyways, excited for my 18th Currently with Farley - it's almost been two years doing this link-up with her and I LOVE it! Farley - you're awesome, thanks for getting us all together every month!

If you're new to BigTime Literacy, I'd love to find some new bloggers to connect with! I'm a Literacy Coach just west of Chicago and love my job. I love to read literacy blogs and blogs from middle school teachers (love me some middle school kiddos, too!) Anyways, I hope you'll stay awhile!

Without further ado, let's get on with it!

Listening to....Taylor Swift and Nappy Roots
Well, it's no secret here that I'm a Swifty. I actually just bought tickets for my friend and I to see her at Soldier Field in July and I couldn't be more excited! Have you seen the mash-up a few of her fans did? They blended Blank Space with Style and it's pretty sweet. Check it out!

I also just watched that movie The Neighbors and the ending credits had the song Good Day playing by Nappy Roots and I love that song. I heard it in the gym a few weeks ago and didn't know who sang it, so cool that now I know! Just a heads up though, some inappropriate content, but hey, this kind of song is exactly me, so I must share!

Loving....running into old friends!
One of my best friends, Holly, was in for Christmas. Of course we got to spend a little time together and then went to breakfast with her family in our small high school town. We ended up running into a few other girls from the class of '98 that I hadn't seen in ages... it was so nice! I'm not one to live in the past or anything, but it is so nice to see old friends and spend a few minutes catching up. We couldn't believe that we're coming up to our 20 year reunion in about four years...say whaaaat? We're calling it 10 year reunion part 2!

Thinking...about giving up TV
Ohhh but that will be so hard because The Bachelor starts in January and I think Scandal will be back soon and also there are only 4 episodes of Parenthood left! Maybe a better goal should be no TV on school nights. I really could find lots of better things to do with my time then brainwashing myself with all the junk on TV (Confession: I watched Real World Chicago yesterday! Can you believe The Real World is in it's 30th year?!) No TV on school nights sounds like a good way to start. Except for The Bachelor. I think I definitely can't wait till the weekend for that one! I mean, look --->

Wanting...my new printer to get delivered!
I ordered one on Amazon since I got a gift card for Christmas and I've been home waiting for it all morning! It's a Canon Pixma...wireless, prints two-sided without having to flip it, prints from iPhone and iPad and it's pretty compact for my small space here in the city. I decided to get it because the new year is going to be all about getting healthy (check out my Healthy 2015 pinterest board!) but I'm going to print stuff and put it up all around my bachelorette pad so I can keep my eye on the prize. I heard (or read) once that summer bodies are made in the winter and yes, that is very true. (Either made or not made, right?) Part of my goals include 30 minutes of exercise or 3 miles walking/running (5 days a week) and eating clean. I have to eat cleaner for sure! I mean, I know this - when I eat a lot of sugar or carbs, I feel so bad, so just gotta stick to the plan.

#trudat

But I digress - back to the printer - it will help me meet my goals and also be helpful for having docs I need ASAP right here at home! I'll let you know how it all works out after it gets here!

Needing...the frigid cold to pass on through
It's seriously so cold here. I can feel the draft from my window as I sit here and type and I am wondering how I am going to make it two blocks to our NYE party tonight....in a dress! My Weatherbug says it's 16, but feels like 4. Not cool! I'm dreaming of summer days, but know we have a long winter ahead of us!

Yes, Maybe, I Wish...
I say yes to getting healthy this year for sure. I mean yes, losing weight will be totes amazeballs, but just feeling better will be the best part of the deal!

Maybe I'll get the boyfriend to Florida and California this year! I hope so anyways, but it takes a lot of planning and saving, so we'll cross our fingers and hope and see!

and...

I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller, I wish I had a girl who looked good I would call her!

Hahhahahaa idk. I wish? I don't want to say the thing I wish and jinx it :-)

That's all for me! Gotta get ready to ring in the new year!

Oh - and if you want to link up with me on Sunday, I'll have my Sunday Letters linky up! Check it out!

Happy 2015!

currently my birthday!

Hi blogging friends! So happy to end my day today (my birthday!) writing a blog...can't think of anything I'd rather be doing! So thankful to Farley for having her Currently Parties each month....always look forward to writing this blog!

Listening to...T Swizzle
I'm so bubble gum, and I don't even care. Got the new Taylor Swift album and it's great! Love lots of the songs on it. The bf is ticked that she sold out and jumped on the pop scene (he now calls her TSwizzle), but it sounds good and works for her. Some of my faves from the album are Style, Wildest Dreams, and This Love. You should definitely check it out!

Loving...Birthday 2014
I've had the best day today! First, tons of people took a moment to send sweet texts, write notes on facebook, give me a call, or, in my dad and Annie's case, sing happy birthday and send it via email. Love that all of my favorite people got in touch with me today!

Then, the boyfriend did such a good job - we woke up and he made me breakfast, we watched the Gators (they won!), and then had an awesome dinner at this Italian place Zia's Lago Vista right around the corner. He got me some great presents, too - including a super pretty rose gold watch. Plus, he's just been the best all day, so I feel pretty lucky to have him!

Thinking about joining Crossfit...
I need to get on the ball with exercising. Like, seriously. Windy City Crossfit is like two steps from Hektor's house, so that would be super easy. It's expensive, but if I actually go and work out, I'm find spending a lot of money on that. I just need a workout buddy. Any takers? :-)
Wanting...a foam fork
Watching the ASU game now and saw a bunch of people in the crowd with foam forks, and yeah, I want one.

Needing...a lazy Sunday
It's on the docket for tomorrow. We've been super busy - went to Vegas two weekends ago, was busy last weekend doing stuff, and so I just want to sleep in (extra hour tonight!) and then be lazy in the morning. It would be nice to go for a walk tomorrow, but I just want to take it easy!
Reading...The Husband's Secret
Well, I'm not going to tell you what his secret is, but it's a good one and this is a great book! I'm about halfway through - will report back with more when I finish!

Well that's all for me tonight. If you are interested in a new linky party, I hold a letters blog every other Sunday. I will be posting that link up next Sunday, so please join! You can check out the letters blog here.

Have a great November...get excited for the holidays!

Dear Mike Ditka,
Thanks for showing up today for the race! We had such a fun time and are already excited for next year's race!
Cheers,
A fair weather runner

Dear Self,
Next time you want to run a 5K - train a little? Luckily you had the bf to pace you, but that was rough. Also, the fastest 5K you've have in ages!
Sincerely,
Couch Potato

Dear Holly and Siblings,
Glad you could all come and stay with me before the run! I had tons of fun, but as usual, there's never enough time. So, perhaps our paths will cross again in the near future, but until then, I have these pics to hold onto the memories
Love,
bff

Dear NEA President Lily Eskelsen Garcia,
Thank you for not backing down to the Morning Joe guy this week on MSNBC! It's so great to have a leader of our union that gets it!
Sincerely,
A Proud Union Rep

Dear Jan Richardson,
I'm so excited to tackle some of the lesson plans in your book, The Next Step in Guided Reading. I'm learning so much about helping my second grade readers improve their skills and I owe it all to you!
Gracias!
A Grateful Teacher

Dear Grad School Students,
I'm sorry (last time!) for not explaining what a thematic unit was! and that I didn't realize this until 9pm the day before the assignment was due! Just goes to show that when it's your first time teaching, things don't go as planned. Anyways, I'm glad the chocolate chip cookies helped a little last Thursday!
See you in two weeks!
Teach

#mybad

Dear Illinois Reading Council (IRC) Conference,
I can't wait to get there next week! What's awesome this year is that it's going to be my first time presenting (Our session is called More than the Common Core: Empowering Students with Authentic Literacy) but also we will have a whole pack of Literacy Specialists there again this year. Super excited to see my favorite reading researchers and learn lots of new stuff!
See ya soon!
An excited Literacy Coach

Excited to read your letters!

fashionably late to the Currently party!

Greetings from a rainy Monday afternoon here in Chicago!

I've been a traveling girl the last week or so, and still have one more trip before I get back down to business with school. I have so much to do, but you know, I'm going to go ahead and do a blog first. Anyone else work like this...doing the fun things first and procrastinating up until the last minute? (I hope I'm not the only one!)

anyways, on to the Currently Party - muchos thank yous to Farley for hosting....always look forward to meeting up at the beginning of the month!

Listening To...
Well, the sound of the rain outside, which is pleasant since I'm home relaxing, and also a new favorite song: Roller Coaster by Luke Bryan.

First, Luke Bryan - gorge! Second, the song is super good, too!

Loving...
Millennium Force - a roller coaster at Cedar Point. The boyfriend and I were just there for the weekend and had a great time! I love roller coasters but got myself a little freaked out before we went on this one - it's classified as a 'giga-coaster' because it's super tall (310 feet) and super fast (93 mph). Right out of the little loading room it's straight up to the top. Cool thing is that it doesn't go upside down, so you don't have the harness around by your years so it feels smoother. Even thought I was freaking out before we went, it was #awesomesauce :-) (We had a waiter one night who said that like 5 times!)

Thinking....
I have lots to do! I need to get a quick course done so I can teach at the University in the fall (hoping to have that done by the time I meet with the other adjuncts on the 14th), I have an iMovie to make for the start of the school year, I need to get some text sets created so I can do some ordering, plus I'm going to Charlotte on Wed, so I need to do laundry and pack and go have fun with my family. I think I'm definitely going to have to bring the computer and work a little bit each day while I'm there! But for now...

Wanting...
To get more literacy content on this blog! It's been summer so I guess it's okay that I've been writing lots of things off topic from reading and writing. Plus, I always like to know the bloggers who I follow including things about their personal lives, but I really want to get some more content on this blog that is literacy related! Hopefully after Charlotte things will simmer down a little and with back to school I'm sure it will naturally happen that way. Do you like reading about the personal lives of bloggers or just about education related topics?

Needing...
To get back on track with the eating! Was just out of town for like 6 days and even though I walked *alot* around Cedar Point, it was not enough to compensate for all the junk food I ate. I need to be more responsible with food for sure! I'm excited to get back to a little routine with work so hopefully the food intake will be more healthy! I'm going to Vegas in October for a wedding and need to get it together for that trip!

1st Day...
Kinda bummed that I don't have my own class, but I'm still excited to see the kiddos I worked with a lot last  year. It's nice now that I've had a year at my new elementary school to get to know everyone! Not sure what I'll be up to the first day - I can't even remember my first day last year! But anyways, excited to get back to the kiddos!

Some unrelated news before I go - I'm going to host a linky every other Sunday with the Sunday Morning Letters! Feel free to swing by and link up with me - next one will be on the 17th, but you can still link up with yesterday's Letters blog until the end of this week!

Also, I changed my facebook page! Be sure to follow the new page for BigTime Literacy here! You can also find my on Twitter and Instagram @bigtimeliteracy :-)

That's all for me here today. I think I'm going to take a nap and *then* get started on the to do list! Happy first day back to school to all of you who are making your way back this month!
